Sigma Nu Tau Entrepreneurship Honor Society was established in the Spring of 2009 at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. It’s original name was simple “Entrepreneurship Honor Society”. In 2010 Sigma Nu Tau Entrepreneurship Honor Society, INC. was incorporated as a Non-profit organization in New York State. In 2012 Sigma Nu tau received notification that it met the criteria under section 501(c)3 of the IRS Code and is considered to be a tax-exempt charity. Under the guidance of its founder, Dr. Nancy J. Church, its mission is to be a collegiate honor society that recognizes students, faculty members, and entrepreneurs who have either excelled in the study of entrepreneurship or who are exemplary models of principled entrepreneurship.
With this vision in mind, the honor society received funding from the Charles G. Koch Charitable Foundation that provided Sigma Nu Tau with funding to launch the honor society nationally, bringing this opportunity to you.
Sigma Nu Tau is expanding nationally by offering to charter chapters at the most prominent colleges and universities with Entrepreneurship academic programs across the country.
